First Things First – Wire Frame
Doesn’t matter if you are drawing a female body or the body of a male because the first step remains the same. Sketching out the wire-framed structure of the body will make it easier to add flesh and give the desired shape and posture to the body. Just like the bones in the body, these wire frame includes different shapes and lines and dots. The dot represents the folding of body part whilst the line represents the straight bones. Also, using circles and square to denote the shape of the body. Here you must be aware of all the different shapes of the body that exist including the hourglass, spoon-shaped, rectangle-shaped or apple-shapes and many more. And when you get bored of doing the same thing, try these drawings.
Addition of More Shapes
Not just the stomach or chest but also the arm and legs are to be added to this step. If you try and add the absolute shape of flesh in one stance, it would do nothing but ruin your drawing. So, move slowly and follow each step by adding just the basic step in the second step. Make sure that you hold the pencil with a lighter hand as to avoid giving the sheet bruises as you finish off the painting later. Once you learn to draw a singular human body, I am sure you will find drawing the crowd way too easier.
Difference Between Male and Female Body Shapes
The shape of butts and busts is different and once you know how to pen it down in a simple drawing you would master the art of body shapes. If the boy is plus sized, the stomach would be curvy and hence a circle instead of curvy lines denoting six packs. While, on the other hand, a few more circles would be added to the chest area of the body if you are drawing a female body. If you are going to draw the back posture of the human body, make sure to add on lines and arcs denoting the butts and backbone.
Final Body Shape
Filter out and erase the unwanted curves and shapes and draw the final shape of the human body by continuing to draw and trace the outlines and removing the intersecting parts. Clear the messy shapes drawn inside of the body and VOILA! To get desired body shape as the final result, you must be capable enough to visualize the correct posture of the body and feel of the drawing. And what about eyes? Don’t forget to add one to your sketch. Well, consider it as easy as drawing the body shapes is with these genius tutorials at your rescue.
Skin Tone Introduction
Next big thing while drawing the human body is being able to get the desired skin tone. Not just the skin tone but also the marks and varying tones must be considered and drawn accordingly. Also, the garment style must be drawn accordingly. Add eyebrows and lashes to make the human sketch look more real. Here are the tutorials that may come handy.
